Licensed Acupuncturist

Minnesota Integrative Health Studio is seeking a licensed acupuncturist! We are expanding our hours and looking to add more acupuncturists to our team. To start this role is primarily for our Community Acupuncture setting, with future potential to move into private acupuncture shifts as well.

We are a unique acupuncture and integrative health care clinic, offering several services under one roof including: acupuncture, traditional Chinese and Arabic herbal medicine, dietary therapy, bodywork (cupping, gua sha, tuina and massage therapy), infrared saunas, and movement-based therapies such as pilates and yoga. It is our mission to provide high quality, holistic, patient-centered care utilizing a wide range of traditional and modern therapies.

The Role:
As a licensed acupuncturist at our clinic, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring our patients receive exceptional care and feel truly valued. This position calls for a mix of clinical expertise, a patient-focused approach, and a passion for fostering a holistic healthcare environment. We are seeking someone eager to focus on patient care within a collaborative, nurturing environment alongside like-minded practitioners. Key Responsibilities:

  • Use TCM theory to assess and diagnose patients, obtain and evaluate health history, recommend and provide TCM treatments.
  • Provide acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine treatments to patients in both private and community settings.
  • Adhere to MN statute 147B regarding the scope of practice for licensed acupuncturists.
  • Adhere to clean needle technique.
  • Comply with all HIPAA requirements.
  • Complete accurate and timely documentation of observations, interventions, plan of care, referrals and follow-up.
  • Document in organization’s EHR with clear, concise, organized charting
  • Formulate appropriate differential diagnosis based on Traditional Chinese Medicine.
  • Identify needs of the individual and develop a plan of care or education plan.
  • Reassess and modify the plan of care as necessary to achieve health goals
  • Make appropriate referrals to other health professionals and community agencies.
  • Support new and existing programs which expand the organizations’ role in the community.
  • Participate in performance improvement activities.
  • Adhere to productivity standards established by the organization.
  • Perform other related duties with appropriate training.
  • Perform other duties as needed in order to keep a clean, calm treatment environment, such as keeping the treatment area clean, sanitize the room and supplies according to clinic written standards, clean all medical supplies utilized, such as cups, guasha tools, etc.

Preferred Experience and Qualifications:

  • Experience with electronic health records
  • Experience with community acupuncture
  • Experience with prescribing Chinese herbal medicine

Requirements:

  • Education at a level that qualifies for national board certification in acupuncture from the National Commission for the Certification of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM)
  • Valid license to practice acupuncture in the state of Minnesota
  • Valid national board certification in Acupuncture from the National Commission for the Certification of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM)
  • BLS/CPR Certified
  • US Citizen or hold proper work authorization to be legally eligible to work in the United States
