Community Acupuncture Volunteer Inquiry

This job has been expired

Wilder’s Center for Social Healing is seeking a volunteer or volunteer group to provide acupuncture for the clients we serve.

Located in the Frogtown neighborhood of Saint Paul, the Wilder Center for Social Healing offers a place for Southeast Asian adults to gather for support, fellowship, shared meals and healing. These are all important for people who immigrate to or seek refuge or asylum in the U.S. and who are trying to adjust to a new way of living. Our weekly facilitator-led programming is provided for culturally-specific groups. 150 active members participate weekly from Hmong, Karen(ni), Vietnamese and Cambodian communities.

We would love to find volunteers to provide one-time or monthly sessions weekdays between 10:00am-12:00pm. Preference would be for a volunteer who speaks one of the languages primarily spoken in our four groups: Hmong, Vietnamese, Khmer, or Karen, but interpreters are available if needed.
