We are looking for a skilled and compassionate Acupuncturist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable in holistic medicine, pain medicine, sports medicine and physical & rehabilitation medicine, and a desire to help patients achieve optimal health and wellness through acupuncture and other traditional Chinese medicine therapies. The Acupuncturist will be responsible for providing treatments to patients, assessing their condition and developing individualized treatment plans. We are looking for a professional who is passionate about providing the best care possible and is committed to helping patients improve their health and wellbeing.

Responsibilities:

– Perform initial consultations with patients to assess their medical history, current condition, and treatment goals.

– Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that incorporate acupuncture, herbal remedies, and other traditional Chinese medicine therapies.

– Utilize acupuncture techniques to treat a variety of conditions, including pain, stress, and sports-related injuries.

– Administer acupuncture treatments using sterile needles to stimulate specific points on the body to promote healing and alleviate pain and discomfort.

– Provide holistic treatments such as moxibustion, cupping, and gua sha.

– Be familiar with the ability to prescribe Chinese herbal formulas and supplements to patients

– Provide patient education on traditional Chinese medicine principles, including diet, exercise, and lifestyle modifications.

– Provide education to patients about the benefits of acupuncture.

– Perform physical examinations and assessments to determine the best course of treatment for each patient.

– Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and communicate with other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.

– Continuously evaluate treatment effectiveness, patient progress and make adjustments to treatment plans as necessary.

– Attend professional development opportunities to expand knowledge and skills.

Qualifications:

– Must have a valid Idaho acupuncture license, or already have an application for a license already submitted.

– Must be willing to apply to be an in-netwrok provider with various health insurance companies right away upon hiring.

– Must at minimum have a Master’s degree in the field of acupuncture from an accredited university.

– Required to be Certification by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM), or have an acupuncture license from California or meet the qualifications from any other relevant licensing board.

– Minimum of 2 years of experience practicing acupuncture is highly preferred, but not essential.

– Must have experience treating pain conditions and physical injuries.

– Strong understanding of traditional Chinese medicine principles and techniques.

– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

– Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with other healthcare professionals.

– Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate patient records.

– Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.
